Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician Full Time employed by Boltons LCG

Location: Lewis County General Hospital

Pay Range: ($17-$20.50 per hour based on certification status and experience)

Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

                                National Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred)

                                NYS Registered Pharmacy Technician (Preferred)

                                Able to lift about 30lbs

The pharmacy technician is available to assist the pharmacists with daily routines and tasks that are within the technician’s scope of service. They will assist with preparation, dispensing, labeling, of medications under the supervision of the pharmacist, work with the pharmacy team to ensure compliance with laws and regulations that the hospital adheres to, help review processes and procedures to enhance patient safety, and to work with the team on projects that may arise.

Availability/flexibility for the position would be Monday – Friday 7am-5pm and Holidays/Weekends 7am-11am. This is a full-time position which will entail 40 hours a week. Once hired it is expected that the pharmacy technician will complete a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program and apply to NYS for Registered Pharmacy Technician, if they have not done so already.
