LCGH Fund For Hope

The Lewis County General Hospital “Fund for Hope” is dedicated to making the journey with cancer less stressful by helping to defray some travel costs.  We are committed to providing funds for cancer patients who often have to travel distances for cancer treatment.

How did the Fund for Hope start?

The LCGH Fund for Hope was established in 2008 due to a very successful Breast Cancer Awareness Dinner. It was agreed upon that the profits would go into a fund to assist any cancer patient who either resides in Lewis County or utilizes services at LCGH.  The Fund for Hope will help defray travel expenses.

What kind of expenses do we cover?

Typically, the fund covers some expenses for transportation, lodging, tolls and parking. All receipts must be originals for lodging, tolls, parking and transportation other than the car.

To date, the fund has given over $78,000 to help patients in our community with their Journey with cancer.
