Family Practice Physicians

Lewis County General Hospital in Northern New York is seeking full-time Family Practice Physicians to join our Health System!

Openings are available in several of our established practices.  The practices are seeing patients Monday through Friday. 

  • Full-time outpatient opportunity; utilizes Hospitalists for admissions and inpatient care for adults
  • Share inpatient pediatric call
  • Full scope Family Medicine; minor procedures done in office
  • Specialists available for referrals and consults
  • Growth in patient volume and retiring physicians require several new Family Practice Physicians
  • Practices located on the main campus in Lowville

Advance Practice Providers

Lewis County General Hospital in Northern New York is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for its South Lewis Health Center, located in Lyons Falls, NY.  The Center is an NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home, Level 3 Recognized Practice that treats all age groups.

South Lewis Health Center is an established practice with strong patient demand.  You can  practice medicine independently and you will have the support of your supervising physician, as well as the family physician on call when needed.  The practice is seeing patients Monday through Friday.

Requirements:  Applicants should have the following:

  •          NYS or national certification as an Advanced Practice Provider

COMPUTER PROGRAMMER ANALYST 

Lewis County General Hospital has an opportunity for Computer Programmer Analyst. This position is responsible for developing applications and reports in order to maximize utilization of facility information resources. The incumbent works in the Information Services Department in the hospital. An Associates degree in Computer Science or related field with two years experience in the operation of main-frame and micro computer equipment, which shall have involve programming and system analysis activities utilizing operating, data base management, financial and utility software or four years of experience as outlined above.  Meditech/NPR Report Writer & Healthcare experience a plus.  Lewis County General Hospital offers an attractive benefits package including medical/dental insurance, NYS Retirement and much more. FT Computer Systems Support Technician

Lewis County General Hospital is seeking a FT Computer Systems Support Technician for our Information Systems Department.  This position provides computer system technical support and resolves network computer problems by working with desktop computer systems and communicating with end-users.  Provides help desk service and support on hardware and micro-computer based software issues and communicates issues to appropriate information systems staff.    An Associate’s degree in Computer Science, information systems technology, electrical engineering technology or related field and one year of experience in a micro-computer help desk/user support of installation position which included problem analysis, provision of direct user support for problem/question resolution and/or the installation or configuration of micro-computer hardware and software or three years experience in a microcomputer help desk/user support or installation position which included problem analysis, provision of direct user support for problem/question resolution and/or the installation or configuration of microcomputer hardware and software or an equivalent combination of experience and training.  Salaries commensurate with experience.
